2nd Mega Training Day

Jul 25, 2008

We are pleased to announce that MEGA DAY 2 is a go. Mark Saturday Aug 9 on your calenders for some great training and fun. This MEGA DAY is geared more toward our athletes participating in Muskoka 70.3 but is open to all of our members. MEGA DAY 2 will take place in beautiful Terra Cotta on a rolling and challenging course. This is a perfect workout to work on your strength and speed, practice your race day nutrition and hydration, test your race day clothing and bike set up and last but not least, have fun doing it.

Creditview Public School on the corner of Mississauga Rd. and King Rd will be our home base and once again we will have a transition area set up for the bikes along with security. www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2112868

The workout will be similar to the last MEGA DAY consisting of 5k run, 15 bike, 3k run, 15k bike, 3k run, 15 bike, 5k run, but will be a bit more challenging with the hills. On the 5k runs there are 2 major climbs, the 3k runs 1 major climb and each bike loop finishes with with a nice " little hill", simillar to the 70.3 course. Please note that the run and bike loops can be altered to your fitness and race goals, there is no pressure to complete the whole workout, make it work for you. The goal is for everyone to get a great workout, have fun and get to know your fellow Falcons.

The cost for this event will be .00 which goes towards security, permits, Porta Potti, water and food. Non members will also be required to have a one day OAT membership of .00, which you can get that morning, to participate.

Our first MEGA DAY was a total success with 20 people participating on a day that started out with a steady rain but cleared up to be a beautiful day and I think I can speak for every one who participated that day " it was a lot of fun".

Show up for 8:00am to get set up and signed in. 8:30am Horn Start

Watch for more updates. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at rmccuedu@yahoo.com

We hope to see you out,
Coach Rob
