Hi Everyone: Since its officially Summer. Its time to start some serious racing. Serious it was, for the first weekend of the Summer of 2008.

On Sunday we had Bill, Rick, Brian and Jim competing in Ironman France and they done very well, considering the course www.ironmanfrance.com
Since they have completed the race. its time to relax and enjoy Europe and the surrounding areas. Great Job Boys. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Klaus and friends ran the Summer Solstice 5K & 10k Trail run on Saturday evening at Mono Cliffs Park near Orangeville.

Club members were in full force at the Guelph lake race events on both Saturday and Sunday racing in the Tri, du and relay events.
I'm sure of everyone that race on the weekend, Great work to everyone. I know Rob McCue placed 4th overall and 3rd in his age group in the duathlon on Saturday and also getting the Fastest bike split of the day, averaging around 37.1km/hr. For race results check out www.sportstats.ca

Mark B was out on Saturday competing in the Toronto City Chase and placing 38th overall. He has an interesting report. Details will follow..

The Time Trial on Monday starts at 6:30 pm weather permitting.

Thursday past it was FMCT first open water swim at professors lake. We had around 15 people out swimming.It was a bit cool getting in, but it was alright after we started swimming. See everyone this Thursday. We normally run around the lake pathway after the swim.

This upcoming Saturday. FMCT with hosts its first Mega training day. Everyone is welcome to come out. For more info about this event. Contact Rob McCue.rmccuedu@yahoo.com

This Sunday, there will be a group ride.Starting at the Library on Creditview starting at 9am. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=857737
There will be two groups:
- 1st group(Newer riders) 20-25km ride. Stopping in Inglewood mid-way break.
- 2nd group(Experience riders)45-50kms. Stopping in Belfounation mid-way break.
