Good Day Kids

I hope all is well on a raining Monday!

Congrats and thanks to those who joined me on our cross training initative over this past week. There is nothing like lifting boxes and couches to make you use some muscles you forgot you had. Of course throw in a treadmill down a narrow flight of stairs.. not you are talking good times!

For those looking for riding opportunities in Georgetown Lesley and crew are doing their usual rides of 55-70k on Mondays & Wednesdays weather permitting. They meet at the NW corner of Trafalgar & Maple (17 Sideroad) and set off just after 5:30pm. The pace
varies between 30-35 km/hr. New riders are always welcome. Those who
must drive can park in a few locations on the north side of Maple
(Sports park just west of Trafalgar) or at Town of Halton Hills (just
east of Trafalgar).

Again, there are usually riders meeting on the library on Creditview during the week between 5:30 and 6:00 and go a variety of distances between 35K and 60K weather permitting. If anyone wants to go out let me know and I can assist you in coordinating a ride.

With the triathlon season being just around the corner take advantage of the city pools, McMurchy, South Fletchers, Balmoral (bath tub) in Brampton and Gellert in Georgetown to name a few.

Thanks to Michelle Jay for stepping up to lead the first Adopt a Road clean up day, as soon as I forward her the necessary info she will setting the date and sending out the volunteer solictation emails. Michelle, you will be happy to know that a few people did respond to last weeks email volunteering their time and effort, so at least you won't be out there alone, that would just be bad. We have seen lots of groups out cleaning up their particular section of road, pulling out bags of garbage.. you should come out and volunteer - spending a couple of hours picking up garbage like will make you think the next time to go to flick a piece of paper or whatever on the ground.. not that any of you would ever do that.. but you may stop someone else you see throwing their garbage on the ground..

Well, I am waiting for an appliance delivery - they said anytime after 7:00am.. it is now 7:50am and no sign of them. I forget what the time frame they gave me was.. like between 7 and 12.. who knows.. all I know is they said something about back order blah blah..

anyway.. oh.. there they are.. tlak to you later.. Jim
