Happy Easter to those that celebrate and for those that don't please take advantage of the opportunity to have a chocolate egg! It's always nice to have a long weekend and this one was no exception, actually I have tomorrow off as well, I feel kinda like a, like a hmm, a teacher with the extra day off an all.
I did manage to get outside on my bike this weekend, sure felt great! Beats the basement and the trainer, although it appears I am going to have to re-learn the farmer blow technique judging by the mess I made of my jacket.
So, lets see what do we have this week.
1) FMCT Club registration is due by March 31st if you want to take advantage of the early bird pricing.
2) sign up for the Run4Hope and come out and support a great cause in the Brampton Special Olympics
3) if you don't want to run, please come out for volunteering and for the post race bike ride and Team photo. Bring your FMCT gear if you have it.
4) I know there is one order of gear that is on its way here and another that just went in, so that one will take 6 - 8 weeks. We will put in another order later.
5) An FMCT member is looking for some one to do the run piece of the Peterborough Half Ironman in July. They want to do the swim / bike in prep for IM LAke Placid and would like someone to do the run. Send me an email and I will put you in contact with the party.
6) The Around the Bay 30 km running race is this weekend in Hamilton. Good luck to those participating. The Saturday run will go forward as usual. I will send something out later in the week with the location of the run.
7) Club members were out on Friday morning racing in the Burlington 35th Annual Good Friday Road Races.
