It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me - thanks to all those who have really stepped up to make sure the club initiatives keep moving ahead.
Congrats to those who took part in the Milton races this weekend - trust the water was ok for those who jumped in for the triathlon.

BIG thanks to Michelle Jay for orgainzing and hosting this past Friday evenings Adopt a Road Clean up on Mississauga Road.. I have added a few comments from Michelle below..
Friday evening marked the annual adopt-a-road clean up, and I am happy to report that the road FMCT members have adopted is very clean and tidy. There were fewer people out this year but I have to say those who helped did a fantastic job. I want to thank them for making time to do something good for our community. We all geared up and got down and dirty for a serious clean up. It was scheduled to rain that night, but we managed to finish up just as the rain started to spit. The only disappointment was that the garbage wasn't quite as interesting as last years finds, no dirty magazines (pun intended), and no recreational drugs, although I did pick up some ladies stockings, or maybe they were Bill's. I had heard he was in touch with his feminine side;-)
At about the one hour mark, with a van full of FMCT folks, and 10 bags of garbage,(did I mention they were huge) we were happy to be done and proud of being a part of a solution. Sometimes it is the little acts of kindness that make a big difference, like sharing your chocolate covered almonds, thanks Laura. With much appreciation, here is too a job well done, Dale, Klaus, Laura Gazzola, Ann-Marie, Rob McCue, Terry Clarke, Brent Passmore. (I beleive some one said, it was all the good looking people who came out ;)
For those of you I missed out at the clean up, the city asked if we might be interested in doing one more in the summer. I think it is a great idea and I will keep you posted for future clean ups.
Have a wonderful week,
Michelle Jay
Enjoy your week - and have fun - see you out there.
