100 Day Run Challenge is Underway
The 100-Day Run Challenge has begun and there was a large turnout this morning at the Running Room
for our first run.

100 Day Run Challenge
It looks like 2010 will be a great year for the 100 Day Run Challenge. We have a record number
of participants and it keeps growing. With that in mind we are going to have our official kick off
for the Challenge on January 1st, 2010, at 10:00am from the Running Room in Brampton.

Disney Princess Half Marathon

RIDE REPORT: LONDON TO PARIS; SEPTEMBER 9 – 12, 2009 by Doug Foster
As you can see from the title, this is a ride report, not a race report. As a gift for one of those "significant number" birthdays, my daughter Jenn and her husband Dan, who live in London, England, signed me up for a 4 day ride starting in the south end of London, and finishing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

2009 Ironman 70.3 World Championships by Bill Vieira
On September 13th, 2009, I participated in the Muskoka 70.3 Triathlon and was fortunate to get a qualifying spot for the 70.3 World Championships during the rolldown that took place after the race. Almost immediately after Muskoka, the weather turned colder/windier/wetter and the days became shorter. It also saw the hibernation of my training partners and I must admit a little lack of motivation on my part.

Beach2Battleship Iron Distance Race Report by Dianne Morrison
The race day morning was 40 degrees so the water temperature of 67 was quite nice. The run from the swim to the bikes was about 400 yards, way too long and on cold feet.

Ironman Kentucky Race Report by Ed Dillon
It is hard to imagine that just over 2 years ago I wasn't able to run one block without losing my breath and having to walk. It is hard to imagine that just over 2 years ago I weighed 45 pounds more than I do today. And it is hard to imagine that if you had said to me in 2 years you will complete an Ironman triathlon I would have thought you were nuts.

With my duathlon racing all wrapped up for 2009, I figured it was time to get some open water experience for 2010. The HSBC Triathlon Series' Lakeside 2 aligned perfectly with my previous schedule and allowed me to stay in game shape while getting a few weeks of swimming under my belt.

Guelph II - Duathlon Race Report by Larry Bradley
What a great way to wrap up the 2009 Subaru Duathlon season! I was accompanied to the race by a truck load of fans (my aunt, brother, niece and step-nephew) willing to pull themselves out of bed early Saturday morning. The skies were as clear as one could wish for and there was hardly a hint of wind. Perfect racing conditions!

The 2009 Niagara Duathlon was not on my schedule heading into this weekend but I was itching to race a short distance event since we have been racing many international and long distances for the past few months. I was able to trade in a few tasks around the house for an extra racing pass and just hoped the weather would hold up so we could go fast.

Gravenhurst International Duathlon by Larry Bradley
This past weekend I participated in my third provincial duathlon championship. The 2009 edition took place on July 18th in the very scenic Gravenhurst, Ontario. For the second year in a row the HSBC Triathlon Series picked up the event and threw another challenging course at us duathletes.

Blue Nose Marathon Weekend - Halifax, N.S
